I am a professional artist, known for acrylic landscape paintings with a contemporary edge and sophisticated color.

Landscape is my muse. My work is firmly based in the long history of Monet and the post-Impressionists, studies of color and light in a semi-abstracted landscape. My dynamic brushstrokes are inspired by the abstract expressionists’ gesture.

The paintings are created to share with you, the viewer, what I see and feel about a place.  Communicating in the language of paint, my intention is to tell more than facts about a place, drawing you in closer to discover nuance, meaning, and a new way to see the beauty around us.

My recent work is about places where land and water meet, exploring reflections of light and color, looking into the water and on its surface.

Each work is a dance between abstraction and representation, complexity and simplicity, the two-dimensional surface and the three-dimensional subject.

I try to please the eye and touch the heart.
